3 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari Tour Uganda
Queen Elizabeth National Park has one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any national park in the world, over 500 different bird species and about 100 mammal species.
The grassland plains supports a variety of animals which can be viewed from a vehicle on the network of tracks designated in the park. About 20 predators are found in the park such as lions, leopards, side stripped jackal and spotted hyena among others.
Common Antelopes species include the kob, bush buck, topi and water buck. Other animals which can even be found at mweya peninsular are;Buffaloes, elephants, warthogs and hippos. There are also various primate species are available in the park including chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkey, black and white colobus monkey, olive baboons among others. The Ishasha sector is famously known for its tree climbing lions and it is also known to host the world’s highest concentration of hippos.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer:
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is one of the outstanding treasures of Uganda and named after Queen Elizabeth II visit in 1954.En route we shall stop at the equator which divides the earth into the Northern and southern hemisphere. We shall have lunch in Mbarara and thereafter proceed with our journey to the park.
Dinner and overnight in:
DAY 2: Game drive and Boat cruise:
After breakfast at 6.30am depart for the early Morning Game drive. The park has a net work of many game tracks which end at the Kasenyi fishing village.
Expect to see animals such as Elephants, Waterbucks, Warthogs, the Uganda Kob, herds of Buffaloes. Watch out Baboons and monkeys!
After lunch, go for the exciting 2hour Launch cruise along the Kazinga channel. Expect to see bird species such as the rare shoe bill, Egyptian geese, the yellow billed stork, white pelicans; Hippos and Crocodiles swimming while others bask in the sun. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Return to Kampala.
Immediate transfer to Kampala or(oportional)go for chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge or go for nature walk in Maramagambo forest where bat caves On your way, make a stopover at Mpambire drum village, a chance to buy a locally made drum.
