Start your three-day exploration of Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda, traveling across its vast savannah terrain. This trip is ideal for families or travelers with limited time. As Uganda’s second-biggest and most frequented park, it hosts 95 types of mammals and 652 bird species, positioning it as a prime location for birdwatching. During your stay, watch for leopards, elephants, lions, Uganda Kobs, hyenas, waterbucks, warthogs, and primates like chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge and Kalinzu Forest, plus black-and-white colobus monkeys.

Full Plan
Day 1: Travel from Kampala/Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, depart for the park via paved roads through Mbarara or Fort Portal (Kasese route). The drive takes 5–6 hours on surfaced roads. Arrive in time for an afternoon wildlife drive.
Guided tracking allows you to observe buffalo, elephants, and other species in their natural habitats around Northern Kazinga near Mweya. Lions are commonly seen in Kasenyi’s eastern plains and along the Kasese road, where they hunt Uganda Kobs. Wildlife drives are most productive in early mornings or late afternoons. Dinner and stay at your lodge.
Day 2: Wildlife Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Excursion
Begin with a morning drive in Kasenyi to spot antelopes, leopards, elephants, and lions. Later, take a boat trip along Kazinga Channel to observe waterbirds and animals congregating along the shores. Dinner and stay at your lodge.
Day 3: Return to Kampala/Entebbe
After breakfast, head to Kalinzu Forest for chimpanzee tracking. Spend an hour with the chimpanzees before returning to your guide. Depart for Kampala, stopping for lunch in Mbarara and at the equator for photos and activities. Reach Kampala by evening for hotel or airport drop-off.
